castle link on older mm 5600

I have a mamba max with 5700 in my pede. I've been out of the game for a while, and cannot find the disc that came with my mm. I've tried downloading castle link, but it won't connect with my ESC. The drivers aren't found and everytime I have windows search for the driver it comes up empty handed. Programming this thing manually is a pain!

Is there a way to get another disc like I once had? It paired fine like that.

What version of windows? There are no drivers for windows 7. You need a windows XP machine.

Yep that's my problem. It's windows 7. If I had that disc I could connect it with my old desktop. I need the disc because I don't have internet on that computer.

Download the software and put it on a flash drive or something...

If I can't get the driver on my computer that has access to the internet, how am I supposed to put the driver on a disk to load to the xp computer?

You need an 32bit os either 7 or xp to do a one off upgrade via USB lead.

You can then use a castle link cable via rx cable from then on.

The computer that won't work is windows 7, and the old one is xp. I guess I'm gathering is that I can save the castle link program to a flash drive, then load it to the xp PC, and it will then work?

Castle told me if I do this, update the mm to the latest firmware, then I can connect the ESC to the new windows 7 computer using the castle link thing....that I have to buy.

If I get the windows xp computer set up, I'll just use that computer with a USB directly to the ESC.

Yup that's what I said :)
