HPI E-Savage, time to switch it up or stretch?

Hey y'all!

Just finished my first quarter of college (UC Riverside)... It's been a hoot :party:

I didn't bring back my desktop gaming rig, which means I'm bored out of my mind and I ventured into my RC closet... what a mistake.

Just came back from a little park day with the two planes and the E-Savage, and it's so nostalgic!

Anyways, I've come to the conclusion that the E-Savage isn't cutting it anymore.. It's fun and all..but I've always wanted a truggy type of truck (as I tried making my e-sav into one).

I'm looking for a longer wheelbase, lower CG for less flipping and easier flip handling. Everything points me into the ERevo area... but I've also looked into making the E-Sav into one.. with a RB2X chassis and parts from GCMachine.ca which comes out to ~$130 to convert it into a longer, dropped chassis.

Thoughts?

Should I cut my losses with the E-Sav, sell it, and invest in a nicer rig?
Parts seem to break a little too easily on the e-sav.

Thanks and happy holidays :party::party:

Do you have the Flux or the E-savage? The flux is a bit more truck thn the E-Savage, though I have a set of extended FLM tvps for the E-savage that allow fitment of the nitro/flux front and rear bulks. A truggy will outperform any savage based truck pretty easily, though. :)

I have an e-savage that when paired with the R2BX chassis TVPs, will take it to a Savage sized truck.

Which truggies are the most popular now?

May just cut my losses and switch!

looking for a new project too, but selling a few of my projects/parts locally. I have too much stuff in my cave.
My gaming rig is still kicking *ss, so no need for a rebuild this and next year.
