Pics of Toro 150a S8
4 Attachment(s)
Hi folks,
it's time for some detailed pics again. I'm running the hobbywing 150a ESC for a pretty long time now, without any problems. Just sometimes it's detecting an empty battery, when it's half full. So I got the Toro, in a pretty cool orange outfit. From the manual, it seems to be similar to the v2 esc. |

some more pics from the inside, overall the quality seems to be good.

Would be great if somebody can read the specs of the FET.
The rubber sealing is also a good idea. What I really like is the additional cap bank. The aluminium housing looks good and should keep the ESC cool. Just waiting to receive the prog box. I will find out how it works, didn't run it yet. I am curious which problems are awaiting me... Looking forward to your feedback. The pics are a bit larger here http://www.offroad-cult.org/Board/vi...87.html#289887 florian |
I don't know what you mean with FET ( not a very good electric guy as it goes for names ) but on the brown one stands 6R8 and under that stands 6R8 to, but then upside down.

ooooh, been a while since I've seen some nude shots like these.
This is all I found based on the number I could read on the fet. NXP 2r030 |
nude pics, but without a nude hand on it :mdr:
thanks for the input snellemin, seems to be quality stuff. Finally I got the pc and android software running, after some frustrating tries. Pretty cool to change settings via bluetooth with my android phone. Not so long ago, there has been almost no choice in ESCs, without cogging and with proportional breaks. imagine... Still have problems to calibrate the tx. Besides that, some short runs have been good. Very smooth. hard testing soon. I wonder who the manufacturer of the esc is. Sky RC seems just to be the sales company. |

About twice the resistance of the MOSFETs we use on Mamba Monster and Sidewider 1/8th. Thanx! Patrick |

Cool. |
thanks for the input. Haven't had time to drive a lot so far.
Pretty small, which is good to squeeze it in between, for low center of gravity. never planned to win races with it  first, I have thought, that bluetooth thingie is crap. But, to change settings with your smart phone is pretty cool I have to admit. Especially when you have a new motor or a new setu it's really helpful. simple technology, but comfy. |
