RC Raven E-Maxx Screw Kit any good?

Just seen the RC Raven screw kit for the T-maxx and E-maxx they are 12.9 and 10.9 strong (what ever that is?) alloy zinc plated blue, 250 of 'em in a box. Anyone got any experience with these?

Want to change all the screws in my Maxx to socket type, I've seen the GA ones but they seem expensive, can anyone recommend any others?

I've got them, and if that's 10.8 or 12.9, than i am the Pope.

If you want real 10.8 or 12.9 screws, get them from MCMaster.com.

I got a screw kit from them. My advise is, buy a truckload of screw's from mcmaster. The kit is to small to supply any spare screw's when you build the truck.

But quality wise they are very very good.

The mcmasters, not the rc ravens.

Why? Mine are very strong, got the red one's. And the colour is way better than those pos one's mcmaster gave me....

I have had good luck with the tony screws ones. I got a rc raven one and been throwing them away. They have caused more head ache than anything. They may have changed there quality. I do not know.

Could well be. I use their screw's for about 2 year's now and never stripped one.

Mcmaster is also very strong, alltough cheap looking colour.

Thanks for the advice might give the RC ravens a go if the price is right. If they are pants i'll let you know.

Like i said; don't get the rc-raven..

They are CRAP!

i have got an aluminum bulk laying around with one of their shitty screws snapped in.

The rc-ravens are worthless. And i got them more recent than sicco did, so apparently they changed their 'quality control'

coolhandcountry 05.30.2006 02:45 PM

I got some about 2 years ago. They didn't impress me.

Is that the bulk you got from me rene.

Sneeck 05.30.2006 02:47 PM

Strange. Don't get them just to be sure. Get either mcmaster or tony's screw's.

Sylvester 05.30.2006 08:00 PM

Tony's screws are great! No complaints.

I think i'm gonna go with Hexcrews Hex Head AP kit after reading all the advice, i live in the uk so the price is about the same as RC Screwz over here and they are stainless. Anyone got the hexcrews kit?

civicwil 05.31.2006 09:41 AM

I'm using RC Screwz Kit On my E-maxx with the FLM chassis, no problems so far.
The real reason I'm posting is to let Blue Juice know that I would head the warnings from the folks on this forum. I didn't and now I'm waiting for UE CVDs. All I'm saying is these folks are looking out for you.

Thanks guys,:027:
