1717 Parts?

Hello,

Is there a place where I can get parts for a Castle 1717 car version?
Specificly the backplate without a bearing.
And will then backplate from the X01 motor fit onto a " normal " 1717 to?

Thanks in advance,

Ruud

They occasionally take apart 1717's and sell the parts if people ask. I didn't see any in their listings so I asked about them and they quoted me around $30 plus shipping for the front and rear plates.

Are the 1717 still popular?

For me 100% great motors, coolhandcountry

@ ta_man : Hmm, I mailed them and they said they didn't had them, and they had no time frame when/if they came.
Do you live in the USA?

Yes I am in the USA.

I don't think they are parting out XO-1s as much as they used to so they may not have a plan for when they are going to do more. The chop shops tend to deal in new stuff that is hot or things that have long term popularity (like Slashes). Once it has been out for a while and the excitement has coold you don't they don't see as many part-outs.

Plus there is usually only a small market for motor parts sold separately compared to whole motors. Jenny's may have concluded that the parts market was saturated and it wasn't worth splitting up a motor any more because they might not be able to sell all the parts.

I bought a Traxxas Big Block, from the X01, but how do you guys mount it?
In the exploded views of Traxxas, they use two 3x12mm screws, but if I put even a M4 screw in the motor, it is a bit loose?
I can move it up and down a little bit, do they use standard screw sizes?
The threats are very good, all the black anodization is still on it.

My old 1717 has that to, but my old NEU's were much thighter?

Or am I worried about nothing?

And how do you guys mount it on the RCMonster motor mount?
I think the old owner of the car screwed it up a bit, because I can not get a 4MM caphead in it, because it doesnt hold it, there is no " lip " where the cap head could hold against.

I tried to search this, but the search function gives a error..
