want a new basher

you guys helped me build my g2r for racing, so now i want an indestructable basher. was thinking a ue'd out emaxx, savage x, or an lst2. please give feedback.

Sneeck 05.31.2006 02:11 PM

Trust me when I say a supermaxx does not bash like most people claim. I've bend those pillow ball's like they where made of butter, from only a double flip driving in reverse. Ok, the rest is strong enough, but for waaaay less you got something waaay stronger.

I'd get a bone stock savage, slam on a bulkless and some alum diff houses, a nice motor and off you go!

tallyram 05.31.2006 02:17 PM

thats what i heard. i'd love to do an lst2, but heard they are tough to convert. what size lehner will the savage tolerate? i'd love to throw in a 2240 or 2250 on 10s lipo.

Sneeck 05.31.2006 02:20 PM

Nothin is impossible, in fact, i'd love a challenge for a project truck.

That's allot of motor on allot of volt's. Nice. You will deffinatly need a centerdiff or a really low wheely bar. But it depend's how you control the throttle, else the motor will grind everything to bit's since it got unlimited torque.

tallyram 05.31.2006 02:26 PM

what would a 1950/12 on 8s lipo sound like.

Sneeck 05.31.2006 02:30 PM

A big smile on your face.

tallyram 05.31.2006 02:39 PM

so that would be the ticket? i want this truck to be brutal. really tough and really fast. my g2r has a 1950/8 on 6s lipo its pretty fast, just can't keep the strobe tight.

squeeforever 05.31.2006 03:16 PM

Use locktight on the Strobe...Also, I think a Savage would be your best bet with some FLM low COG tvp's, bulkless, and either FLM or Vantage arms. I like the vantage because there carbon fiber and super strong.

I am in the testing stage of a savage tally. I have a 2250 on it with tranny. I don't know how well it is going to hold up. If you convert a monster gt over they are pretty tough and easy to convert. I have did two so far. The ue maxx will be nice but not as tough as it should be. There is a lst converted with a emaxx tranny on it out of carbon fiber. It looks great. Have to make a few plates for it and you good.

My G2R is the toughest truck in my area, Not many here can run with it

Sylvester 05.31.2006 08:29 PM

The g2r is indeed tough, if you want, you can always convert a stock revo on the nitro chassis, should be a good basher with some rpm arms.

tallyram 05.31.2006 09:46 PM

right now i'm definitely leaning towards the savage. i like how tough they are and the 1/8th diffs. price would be a huge plus for the savage.

coolhandcountry 05.31.2006 10:10 PM

WEll that is one reason i suggested the mgt. I has the 1/8 diffs and cvds as well. The savage is a great truck as well. I have slammed a few things with the stock savage with no breakage. I really can't say one or the other. Both are great trucks.

which has the toughest drivetrain?

coolhandcountry 05.31.2006 11:04 PM

You got a good question. If I had to pick. I may go savage. It is a little better diffs. The mgt has better turning though. As far as favorite basher out of a flm gmaxx savage and mgt. The mgt wins.
