new brushless e-maxx
hi guys, im back.
had a chance to buy another truck, some of you may remember i had a first gen e-maxx converted to brushless. i guy i know bought a brushless edition from ebay for around £320.00 with the programable tq 2.4ghz tx. he then spent about another £150.00 buying new bearings, rpm tru track rear arms, rpm skid plates and a few other bits it needed. a few weeks later he had a bit of a problem with his car and it cost him alot of money, said he was going for a fast sale with the truck on ebay :surprised: well i had to have it and i got it for £200.00 :yipi:  it also has some white springs which i think are stronger than original and a big tub full of spares. the only problem i could see with the truck was the fan was not working in the esc and the body was wrecked. i emailed suicideneil who gave me a few pointers as to where i could get a new fan as castle have now discontinued the fan and case deal for the esc :oh:. but i found a guy in the usa who has a lot of the original fans :intello:. 13 dollars and a few weeks later and it is up and running . i also found a nice roll cage being sold on amazon for the brushless edition, solid bars of stainless and tig welded together. anyone who needs a link to this guy for the fans just shoot me a response or pm. chris. |
Hi Chris,
Welcome back :) You mean the case/fan for the mamba monster is discontinued? That's fast.. :) The tig welded roll cage sounds solid, only problem is the COG is raised quite a bit with a heavy top. I had a few thick glass fiber body, which had the same issues. Perfect for bashing though. No pics of your ride? |
thanks serum, i will take a few snaps when i get a chance.
no feeling to good today, wife had a cold a few days ago so she has kindly shared it with me :grrrrrr: chris. |
