Run of RC Monster Slipperential V1 for Gorillamaxx G1 or G2/3
Hi all!
Mike being the absolute legend that he is, has agreed to do a run of V1 Slipperential Propriety Parts if we can get enough interest and commitment from all those Gorillamaxx enthusiasts out there who like me, have always wanted one of these bad boys really bad and hated the fact we missed out! http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/...0V1/ivgubd.jpg http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/...1/IMG_0846.jpg Pics care of my good friends Blazerss & Tinus Do you own a G1 or G2/3 chassis and want your truck to stand out from the rest? If we can get 20-30 committed people then this can be a reality!!! For +/- $85, Mike has agreed to manufacture for us the RCM Proprietary parts, so all we will need to do is purchase the following easy to find items to complete the setup: 1.) 1/8th Diff (Original used Hot Bodies but any 1/8th diff can work) 2.) 44T Spur (Kyosho was originally used but any can work) 3.) Revo Slipper Assembly 4.) Bearings So what will you receive for the +/-$85 cost? Everything in the below pic MINUS the dog bones: http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/...ial%20V1/1.jpg So I will posting threads to try and get interest in several forums and Facebook Groups. Please feel free to post in this thread or send me a PM if you are serious about owning one of these masterpieces and COLLECTOR'S ITEMS! You may never get another chance of owning one of these, I have been looking for 4-5 years with no joy, so get on it guys, let's make this happen! :-) I would like to take this opportunity to also thank RC Monster for being willing to do this run, we appreciate the support you give the community! |
Here are some setup pics for those interested thanks go to Serum on RCM forums for the pics:

What would it take to mount one of these in a Gorillamaxx G4 chassis?
At one time I had nearly 10 G2 and G3 chassis. Every time I'd go to build a truck with a 2 or a 3, I'd end up just building another cool G4 truck. Ended up selling off all my G2 and G3 chassis and continued to buy G4's. I have 3 built G4's and 1 G4 chassis I haven't done anything with yet. Love to put a V1 Slipperential in it. |
That is a good question, and one I have thought about previously with my G4 build. It wouldn't work because of the motor mount being held by the x-braces on the G1,G2/G3. We do not have these on the G4 and as such it would be very difficult to make work. Now I never say never, because we are extremely lucky to have some very resourceful friends in this hobby that I am continually amazed by the work they perform.
But you look at pics 5 & 6 of post #3 above, you will see what I am talking about. Also pics 4,5,6 & 7 of post #4 you can see there also. The motor mount would not have anything to hold onto on a G4 chassis... I cannot post pics to detail it perfectly as I am at work and I am unable to access file sharing sites as a result of strict security. I will update tonight once I am at home, but you should get the idea from my notes above anyway. |
