Your car is the BOMB! Wish I still had my brushless HPI 5T! (also on 12s)

RC-Monster Mike 11.03.2015 05:42 PM

That thing is a beast for sure!

nitrostarter 11.03.2015 07:22 PM

No noisy weed eater will make that power!

MonsterMaxx 11.07.2015 07:08 PM

only thing I don't like is the layout of the batteries. Really jammed in there first of all, so they are a pita to get in and out. And the edge of one battery is really close to the pinion with the longer TP packs.
Since the nanotech only lasted about 8 charges (cell error on one pack) I'm going to have to solve the problem. TP Pack is right up against the steering post in the front so it'll have to move sideways.
Ugh. Need a better chassis/battery setup...

Can you imagine this if I could get the weight of the 5ive down in the 20lb range?

RC-Monster Mike 11.08.2015 02:24 PM

A better "electric-specific" layout would be ideal in many ways - and low 20 lbs weight should be doable I would think - The body is around 6lbs itself, IIRC. None of my machines have a large enough work envelope to make a chassis that big, or I may have done it already.

I'd love to know how many American horsepower that thing has..... :)

Damn fine work. Just had to run over and check out the offerings on UE.
