2 pole RPM limit on MMP?
In the quest for an ever faster blizzard, I've found that 3s/5110kv isn't cutting it anymore.
Is there a maximum RPM that the MMP can drive a 2 pole sensored motor? Would it be better to be set in sensored only, or smart sense? 100k+?:eyes: Is there any way to tell the fake castle motors from the real ones? It appears fleebay only has fake 9000kv ones... |
IIRC, the 2 pole rpm limit is +/-150k.....not sure why that number comes to mind, but I don't think you will be ESC limited for rpms on a 2 pole motor(magnet limited, perhaps). :-)

150k - 160k RPM is a fairly safe number to assume for a 2-pole. The real number is based on a wide number of factors and is limited by the ESC keeping timing with the motor.

Buy from a reputable dealer... :whip: |

I would, but the 9000kv is discoed. |

I forgot how wicked a motor sounds at 100k.
This motor survived longer than the battery did on 5s. In a kyosho blizzard... |

It's fun on 3s. On 5s it's hard to keep going straight. One of my 5s batts puffed and just about went thermonuclear in my sink. First time I've been surprised by a batt in 15 years. :gasp: Vids if I ever get home when it's light out. |
