are these batteries good?

hey everone, i was just wondering if these batteries are good or not.

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXMDK1&P=7

they already come with deans and 12 gague wire. would these be a good

upgrade for my 8 cell GP3300's that i made?

MetalMan 06.06.2006 08:00 PM

It doesn't say what cells are used. But, it does state an 80amp continuous discharge, which suggests that this pack most likely uses good cells. That's nice that it does use battery bars and not thin nickel strips...

cemetery gates 06.06.2006 08:07 PM

would these cells handle a 1940/7 or a wanderer 7xl?:032:

MetalMan 06.06.2006 10:39 PM

They should.

squeeforever 06.07.2006 12:00 AM

Could they possible be IB3600's?

What would that 8C mean....?

coolhandcountry 06.07.2006 09:51 AM

My guess would be 8 cells.

I don't see anywhere in the description where it says 8C. Where are you seeing that?

coolhandcountry 06.07.2006 10:02 AM

In the pic it says it on the battery pack.

"Great Planes ElectriFly 8C 9.6V 3600mAh NiMH Dean Ultra"

That is the product name at the top of the page.

Serum 06.07.2006 05:14 PM

I don't like the 8C part.. I would let them go..

squeeforever 06.07.2006 05:20 PM

8C means 8 cells I'm pretty sure. I have seen it many times refer to how many cells and not the discharge rate.

Serum 06.07.2006 05:22 PM

Could be an explanation, but the C term is somewhat confusing IMO

MetalMan 06.07.2006 06:46 PM

Yes, it is. Some companies just don't get it, even though they sell Lipos...
