mgm compro 16024 awsome controller

i have had several brands of controller,i've been on the brushless hobby for sometime now and this mgm controller so far for me is the best,(i had hacker , shulze ),very good for racing , the adjustment parameter, just read the instructions several times ,it is set up for my hacker 9xl and 4 s lipo,works pretty good much less heat generated versus my shulze( well give it that it is a 18.97 controller versus the 160 amp ,24 cells capable but for the price to price comparison), i like the dual heat sink feature as well, that is the reason maybe it is out of stock right now, CHEERS!!!!!!

I got the 24160 as well. It is a very sweet esc. I like the smoothness of it. I ran it and it seemed like didn't know what a cogg was. Love that part. You really need a smooth esc when climbing.

you are absolutely right coolhand, very smooth on acceleration, feels like it is really like a sensored esc vs. sensoreless, i definitely recommend this controller to anyone

I have owned two MGM 12012 controllers and one MGM 8012 controller. I have experienced ZERO cogging with motors ranging from a Feigao 380C, to Lehner Basic XL, to Feigao 8L and 10L. The MGM controllers are very smooth.

How did you mounted it?

I used the M2 holes to mount it with.

Works like a charm..

Serum do you mean the m2 holes on the sides of the controler? I may try to mount mine the same way, on a piece of CF. Thanks for the idea. :027:

Sounds like they finally got it right.

luvsrc 06.07.2006 02:42 PM

i mounted mine sideways where the two heatsinks are both exposed sideways
wish i got it pictured with double sided tape and a ziptie mounted on my race bomb chassis,any body for a suggestion where to get the voltage for the cooling fan ? do i need to run it with a separate 9 volt battery or can i run it with my 4s lipo pack where the wirings are connected to the esc wiring, thanks for any input, will it loss a lot of power or hardly noticable at all?

Just in case;

I isolated both the heatsinks from eachother. (can't hurt)

coolhandcountry 06.07.2006 08:37 PM

Nah it can't hurt. You got a pic of it mounted down.
