your truck is looking very good....I like the progression from stock to the gorilla maxx...looks like it will very nice once it's done...good job..

Nice...But why not a G2R? (just wondering)
|
it's an emaxx, or now GMAXX! thanks! I didn't go with an g2r because there are a lot of those, and the emaxx was my very first truck, so i fugured i build the crap out of it! LOL!!! And never owned a revo, but may look into it. What are the pros and cons?

Revo - Better suspension, better drivelines, better flight chacteristics, better durabillity, better stock parts. And that's before you drive it. E-Maxx, cheaper, more "upgrade" options. I own both, so I do have some frame of reference in this. The E-Max makes a great basher... and it does bash. Try and jump it? Go ahead, hope you like rolling. Try cornering at speed.... go ahead, hope you like rolling. It's a fun truck, but honestly I like to spend more time on my wheels than on my lid.... with an E-Maxx.... the lid gets at least 50% of the run time.... G2R? Solid, jumps well and almost never rolls.... I really have to WANT to roll to get it to hit the lid. My best advise... Stop upgrading the E-Maxx to make it: *More stable *Stronger *Better at jumping *Faster Use it as stock as you can, run the hell out of it and enjoy... replace what gets broken but only upgrade if you absolutely need to. The G2R is best on flats, street, track and anything you want to tear-ass over. Its a bit pricey for a basher... but then that's what the E-Maxx is for. - H |
Very good info, thanks. I love my maxx and don't spend much time on its top actually. I have been driving it for years and spend more time on the tires than the top. But that's just me. Not only that, but i built it because it seems many people have a revo or are trying to build one...may be a future project though, I like the way they look!
