powerstrokes
Just got my pro-line powerstrokes...4 coil-over and 4 bypass. I put 40 wt oil in the back and it seems to be very soft. I have a 12lb max...should I put a stiffer spring set or higher wt. oil? or both?
|
The spring controls the hieght of the shocks and truck. The oil controls the dampening.

thanks...so what wt oil should I use
|
Did you try the outermost hole in the A-Arm? It will give a firm ride and still give a plush ride at the extended position.
Try several combos of springs and oils. I use 60 wt oil in the bypass, 30 wt in the coil overs w/ the FLM towers. Also use the stock springs. |
I will give that a try and let you know
|
Adjusted the shock positions and it does make a big difference but there is still a slight sag. Well, I put in an order for the firm and ultra firm springs. I plan on using 40 wt in the coil-overs and 50 wt in the bypass.
What's the proper way to change out the oil in the bypass since I've already put 40 in there? |
Hang them upside down for half an hour, and you should be fine.. move the piston every now and then, to get the oil out of the outer chamber.
