powerstrokes

Just got my pro-line powerstrokes...4 coil-over and 4 bypass. I put 40 wt oil in the back and it seems to be very soft. I have a 12lb max...should I put a stiffer spring set or higher wt. oil? or both?

The spring controls the hieght of the shocks and truck. The oil controls the dampening.

thanks...so what wt oil should I use

Did you try the outermost hole in the A-Arm? It will give a firm ride and still give a plush ride at the extended position.

Try several combos of springs and oils. I use 60 wt oil in the bypass, 30 wt in the coil overs w/ the FLM towers. Also use the stock springs.

I will give that a try and let you know

Adjusted the shock positions and it does make a big difference but there is still a slight sag. Well, I put in an order for the firm and ultra firm springs. I plan on using 40 wt in the coil-overs and 50 wt in the bypass.

What's the proper way to change out the oil in the bypass since I've already put 40 in there?

Hang them upside down for half an hour, and you should be fine.. move the piston every now and then, to get the oil out of the outer chamber.
