380c 6t...can it handle 8 cells?

I have an xtm xcellerator and have spare quark 80b+380c 6t...i was wondering could it handle between 7-8cells?

i believe that that motor is pretty much limited to 6 cells or a 2 cell lipo. BTW that motor is too hot for a stadium truck IMO. what about a 380c 6L that should handle 8 cells and do very nicely. :018:

well i'll just run 6 cells for now but i also have a 2s batt pack that i'll run in the future...i want this truck to be really fast btw...so i like that it's overkill

from what I've been reading it is. You could try it but it will run hot. It might work if you gear down alot.

Thunderbruiser 06.26.2006 08:33 PM

well yeah if it runs too hot then i'll gear down and or get a 6l but for now i'll run it

runnin 16/90 what would be good for an st with standard sized frnt/rear tires? running 0n 3900's right now...maybe 2s in the future

Eight cells will be pushing the limits, the motor'll be at 65,000 rpm unloaded so make sure u watch the temps and u should be ok.

gearing sounds good to me, but if you run 8 cells maybe drop to a 15 or 14 tooth pinion.

well the darn esc won't program correctly no matter what i do...so i'll wait until am DOne being annoyed!
