Unlimited budget Revo
If you guys were going to build a brushless Revo with an unlimited budget, what would it look like? Gearing, motor, controller, and what parts would you upgrade from stock? The truck will be running on 14 to 16 cells. :032:
it would look similar to this with a machined esc mount and maybe flextek arms.http://www.rcpics.net/member/tallyram
motor : lehner 1950/6t or 7t esc : quark 125b or warrior 20120 gearing : strobe slipper/ofna 51t spur 15t and 16t mod 1 pinions to start with |
What kind of speed do you get out of this beast?
I would run lipo instead of nimhs for lighter weight and more consistant voltage.
my g2r has:
chassis : gmaxx g2r motor : lehner 1950/8t esc : bk 12020 w/ ubec gearing : strobe/ 51t ofna with 15t-20t pinions batteries: 6s lipo and i've got the aluminum diff cups and cases, just waiting for the stockers to blow. with 15/51 gearing i get to about 45mph. im going to try an 18t pinion soon, it should be just right! sylvester also has a really nice g2r as well. |
Actually, Sylvester did away with his G2R chassis :frown: .
i forgot! he has a really nice e revo conversion.
Cause he was a basher and the g2r was to low. He wanted some ground clearance.
I already have a basher (checkout Extreme E-maxx on the brushless post), and now I'm wanting to build a bullet. What about the Lehner 2250?
not on revo diffs. a 1950 is pushing it already.
Yea, a 2250 would be a little, but than again, if you wait a little, bulkless is coming out somtime soon (check flm forums) and than you can have one of the strongest revos with 6 or 8 spyder diffs, or even HB diffs.
**Edit**, Hey guys, just so you know, these stock revo chassis are just staying here for now, the g2r will be home again, not today, not tomorrow but soon! Muahhahaha:D |
nice!!!!!! how fast is your e-revo? what is the diff. in weight between your conversion and g2r?
It is near the 45mph area, The conversion is actually 1 1/2 lbs lighter! Strengthens the truck up alot! I love the higher center for bashing and smashing!
yeah, my g2r is pretty heavy. thats where mine is as far as speed goes. mike is sending my 18t and 20t pinions soon, so i'll shoot a little higher for the heck of it. have you compared the two on the track?
If you call a sandy area with jumps a track than yes! :) (Ghetto mans track). The g2r sure handles a little better, never rolled over, yet i didnt like the weight distrubution on it when i hit jumps. As for stock chassis, jumps alot better, lighter and feels alot more agile, it will roll over if i try a hard turn, but after i lowered it some the rollovers were eliminated.
