I'm a BL newb, Help!

I have a E Maxx. I know that I don't want to spend big bucks on Lipo. I do want runtime and power. I will probably run 6 cell 3300 or 3800 packs. What motor and controller should I go with? What drivetrain mods would I have to do to make it durable. thanks.

Well, I would go for a XL size motor. 7 or 8XL depending on what kind of speeds you want. that with a Warrior 9920 or a Quark 125 would be a great setup. As for upgrades, a high torque metal gear servo is one major thing. That and cvds, steel idlers and a Strobe slipper should hold up well. You will however need diff upgrades eventually. Aluminum cups and cases should hold well however, the FLM hybrid system with Hot Bodies Lightning diffs would be indestructable. They would be a little more expensive but you wouldn't be buying anything twice.

if you are new and what something simple fast and a derect bolt on get the hv maxx it is decent and cheap + novac has great costomer service but for more speed and not a big price diferance get the 7xl the hv maxx is a beginner motor
