Stock E-maxx servo

Does anyone know the torque rating of the stock E-maxx steering servo? What is a good replacement for backyard bashing?

Thanks, Pinball

The stock one is a measly 80oz...Get a Hitec 5955TG and you will be plenty happy...333oz of torque.

Downside: 110 bucks.

Upsides: Titanium Gears, Insane Torque, 2 Year warranty, Fast (.15 second transit)

I just got the 5955...it handles really well. The 115 bucks for it is totally worth it. You may want to upgrade the servo saer as well. I got the UE servo which is great but pro-line offers one at a fraction of the price.

If you get most any thing with afour 144 and more torque you be ok. The more torque the better though.

If you have EPA settings on you're radio, you can run a Blue Bird 620MG. A little slow, but great torque. I have one steering a G2R revo and have no problems, also have one on my 3.3 revo.

To be honest, I've had 7 BlueBird's, and I just fried my 3rd. The bottom hot glowing red hot....I will never recommend another... The worst part about frying it, it was my throttle servo! Imagine if my new 3.3 engine got stuck in WOT instead of idle...

BP-Revo 07.14.2006 01:07 AM

Wow...that WOULD suck if it got stuck at WOT...

I like to stick with Hitec, they have never let me down as of yet.
