Own By-Pass Shock
Yes we all know that the proline by-pass shock kit is verry good in its performance, but has anyone thought of using the normal u/e or traxxas shocks to make your own?
so wouldn't you have your own by-pass shock just by removing the the spring and other things. correct me if im wrong. I guess its kinda dumb question. |
I dont understand, if you want to create a by pass shock you'd need alot thicker shock body to accomodate the use of a thicker spring. (Just like PL's) . Im sure its possible, with a little custom work, but not with ue or traxxas shocks, thats for sure.

i know, just a question out there. but it would be cool someone should try it out.
|
If a person could snag some by pass shocks on ebay than that would be ALOT easier!

:035: What the hell was i talking about, sorry i was thinking about motorbikes- LOL ! Yea, squee knows everything about these shocks since he LOVES them! :) On another note, you guys think PL will make a different type of shock? They discontinued a great shock, thats for sure!
|
ya thats kinda bad for the people with the by-pass. But i bet they discontinued it for a reason!
|
sales went bad.
And proline is money ho**y |
I don't really understand it either. Just like they discontinued the Servo saver...and suspension kit....and....
|
Progressive Suspension resevoirs on Supermaxx shocks is a great alternative, but I don't think they make those anymore, either.
|
I got a set of by pass to try with a set of buggy front shocks. I going to test today to see how it does.
|
tell us how they perform!

Read the other thread...

I did test and posted my results.
I was real happy with the way it performed. I haven't tried the shed or garage jump yet.:D |
