Driffrence between the mamba maxx systems
 

4600,5700,and a 7700 whats the driffrence, between the three does anyone know? $212.00 seems like a great deal to me for a motor and esc but maybe not.. any of you guys ordered one yet? I cant wait to hear how people like them thanks for any info.

The higher the number, the higher the RPM/Volt rating.

What this means, is that for each volt you put into the system, the motor RPM goes up by that ammount (assuming no load etc)

So, on 1 volt, the 5700 motor will do 5700rpm, the 7700 will do 7700 rpm, and so on :)

By all accounts the Mamba Max is an incredible system.

I've seen some vids of one in an XXX4 and the speed/acceleration is mind boggling!

My system should be on the way soon. I chose the 5700 motor to use in my 4wd 1/10 buggy (Tamiya Dark Impact).

$212 is a rediculously low price to pay. Other systems in the same class (for 1/10 vehicles) either cost more or aren't nearly as good (the Novak/LRP systems for example, but the Mamba Max isn't ROAR legal).

thanks both of yu guys, well i dont race and never plan on it I just enjoy bashing in my back yard, I have a Rustler and a Pede i also have a Nitro rustler that I really dont like being nitro thought about making it Electric maybe wonder if a system like this would be good for any of my truck. I dont care about wheelies I knwo with a killer system it will if your not easy on the throttle. I am running 6 cells right now might get some 7 cells later on.

Could someone post some vids of the Mamba Max system in action. It doesn't matter what vehicle it is in.
Where is it for $212??? I want that! I have seen it on Mamba's site for $250.

it depends on how bad you want it. i paid 250 for mine and already have it and ran it. its pretty awesome. the power is amazing.

The motor isn't large enough. You could technically do it, but the motor would get blistering hot. This system is for 1/10 stadium trucks, buggies, and touring cars only (well, maybe 1/12 pan cars also).

Actually no motor will heat up when geared properly, but speeds will be more like 30 mph only. Even 380 motors can do 30 mph in an emaxx without overheating so I don't see why a mamba motor wouldn't.

but the mamba max isnt a 380 series it is a 540

Well, even the 4600 is a pretty hot motor for such a small gearing. the pinions that are available in a 1/8th shaft (3.2mm) are pretty rare in a 9-10-11T.

Why don't you use the controller with a Wanderer L or something like that? I pressume you wanted to use 12 cells, right? My guess is that a lower KV wanderer (L-can) would work like a charm. I used a 9L in my buggy on 12 cells, and with a heatsink it gets pretty hot. The 9L 'only' does 2400 rpm/V
