If you can find some better belts that are the right length and rig up a tensioner for both belts then it would work no problem.1/8 on-road all use belts albeit wider ones. The belt materials have improved, losi make good heavy duty belts but it's a case of finding the right lengths.Maybe searching tower for alternative belts that might fit since they put the specs of most things on there.

Try running more tension first though, that rear belt definately looks like it needs something:005:

i've done the same thing with my rs4 rally, i must of blew 15 belts, even with homemade belt tensioners too. its kind of a lost cause...but i had so much fun with that car that i still have it just incase i get an idea.

Interesting. I've owned my xxx4 for 2.5 years and have never had any belt failure. Novak ss5800 for a year, feigao 540 6s for 6 months and a 380c 9t on 3s lipo for 6 months. I think the plastiky belts hold up better than the rubber ones.

well threw on a nice nylon belt and a rigged up a tensioner and ended up stripping all the teeth off the belt when i punched it :002: i think its time to start working on a new custom 1/10 scale :028:
