New proline badlands MT

http://www.pro-lineracing.com/proline.htmlAnybody seen these? i like the look of them.

Has anyone tried to mount a maxx tyre on a 3.8 rim?I'm using the 3.3 knuckles and i want to keep the standard width but i kinda want to use these tyres,i think it could be a great setup, still narrow enough for lots of steering but more low profile than on a maxx rim.Maybe just need to cut the bead off.

Yeah, I think they look cool too. I'm running 40 series right now but want to try 23mm regular sized wheels for lighter weight, and these tires look perfect for my backyard! Bowties seem like they wear out too fast, hopefully the knobs on these tires are durable.

Gustav, you do need to cut the bead but I wouldn't recommend it. If you glue it crooked, it will wobble and not track straight.

Yeah i know, it might go horribly wrong.I could narrow the wheels quite easily in the lathe, that might help aswell.I like the idea of the 3.8 size though,i think traxxas have the right idea with that.40 series are a bit too big and a bit too wide IMO and proline MTs still move around alot on the rim on maxx rims(argueably a good thing though)

I'm just going to use 3.8 tyres on this one i think, just wish there was more available. There's panther pythons of course.

Are Talon tyres any good as bash around tyres? i need a 3.8 sized masher alternative, multi surface kind of tyre, the 3.8 chevrons look very cool aswell.

The Chevrons do look like a good tire. I love my Talons however I can't even get my 3.3 to do a wheelie on concrete with them because they don't get much traction when it comes to that. The MT tires on Proline rims are quite good actually. My LSP-R stock tires are kinda like Crime Fighter MT's and they offer great sidewall support. Unlike the Standard Maxx tires.

I've got some crimefighter MTs and they are excellent, they do move around quite alot but i think it's actually a good thing, they certainly work well enough. They need a racing surface really though, the rolling resistance is so high on concrete that my esc will run like 20 degrees warmer than on mashers.Where i bash it's like gravel to tarmac to grass to gravel, all in one corner sometimes.

I'm going to get some talons and some pythons i think, that should have most situations covered, thanks squee.

No problem. The Talons or the Chevrons seem to be right up your alley. Just don't the the Gemini rims. There weak. I'm not sure about the Split Spokes, but I like the Hurricanes. There strong and they look good.
