strongest new 2wd stadium truck
 

I'm tired of my rs4mt always breaking and the limited parts selection for it since its not made any more, so its time to put it on the shelf and get something new. I'm looking for a new 2wd stadium truck, what truck is the strongest as far as power handling? i know the rustler is the strongest when using alum idler and steel diff but i just dont like them unless there modded with all that alum parts and thats to much $$. so what truck would be the best?

Have you seen the new Rustlers? They look alot better than the older ones. Trueth be told, you dont even need the steel diff. The idler would hold well for most situations.

The rustler would be good because you don't have a ball diff to worry about and keep adjusted.Also you can bulletpfoof the transmission.

I actually like the look of the new one,i'd keep it fairly stock personally,metal idler like sqee said and i'd use the sliders but get the steel yokes for them.I've used them on a truck i built before and they hold up very well and would be the driveshafts i'd choose.

Also the stock esc and motor are worth having,could use them for winter driving or something or for big jumps if you don't want to launch your expensive BL system like that.Apart from that i'd probably put turnbuckles and maybe an extended chassis if wheelies are a problem.

If you want to race you need a Losi or Associated,the xxxts make good bashers ( 2wd stadiums are inherently very strong) but you need to keep the diff and slipper adjusted properly and any ball diff needs rebuilding failry often.I've never used a T4 but there's little to choose between them apart from brand loyalties,the Losi RTRs come with good radio gear.

I was looking at the Associated T4, it is weaker than the Rustler but lighter to (not sure by how much?).

The new Rustler isn't that different, just looks like different colour plastic.

The new plasitc is actually stronger than the regular black plastic (less flexing). It's a good thing they have it on the transmission since I have gone through two diffs almost immediately using the stock tranny case (my replacement aluminum one should be in today). Also, Traxxas installed a heavier-duty slipper clutch.

RC10GT is the strongest you can get in a stock new vehicle. They make sweet BL conversions as well. As far as strongest ST ever, I would look into the RC10T2.

I agree on the RC10T2 for a strong electric. I've beaten mine to death and back and it keeps coming back for more! Aluminum tub chassis and front supports along with RC10GT suspension arms make this one tough truck! It was my first real adult RC (1st RC was Frog) and even after all the others I have bought I still keep coming back to the T2. ( I want a T4 but am afraid it will be real fragile compared to the T2)

T2s are abit old now, to get hold of spares.

ya thats the thing the t2 is to old for most hobby shops to keep parts around for them. ive seen the new rustler its pretty cool looking. does the steel diff and alum idler work in the new ones?

The t2 & the gt share alot of the same parts. There almost the same truck.

Yea Stampy, the diff parts should work just fine with it.

ok cool ill cruz over to the local hobbie shop and see if they have one instock and see what used rigs there selling. i dident think i would wont a rustler but after looking at the new one i now do :027:

i got a t4 if your intersted. Also, i dont think the the rustler was such a great deal...

for brushless i prefer the t3 better
