Really Hot ESC

It's been hot here, in the 90's+ but I have been running my Pede anyway. The ESC has been so hot after one bat pack I can't touch it. 87t spur-16t pinion 3300 bat,Team Orion Formula SV2 Pro BB 19x2..Is it the weather or something else making it that hot?

That might be part of it, but try gearing down.
