Looking for a new system....

Well after this past weekend , and deciding to go to a gmaxx chassis w a single speed setup....I was going thru my truck and was going to reconfigure my 1920/8...to lower the rpm...and I noticed it was seized....but not until i tried to use my controller to check it...and i heard a pop....and the motor did start to move...but not to fast..........so I thought about about hte following controllers ect.

9920
or
quark 125

and not sure on the motor.....can somebody help with suggestions....
thanks

quark 125b for sure and maybe a 1950.....

....or go all out and stuff a 22 series motor in there....:005: :005: :005:

ok...sounds good....anybody else have an input?

cemetery gates 08.09.2006 05:13 PM

just an idea... but instead of the g-maxx single speed, what about mikes "slipperential" that he is hopefully going to produce....

sjcrss 08.09.2006 05:20 PM

it depends on cost...cause I allready have to get a new chassis and now a motor & controller to....not to mention batts....so that might be down the road...but once again it depends on the final cost...

The 125 is a nice controller. I like the lehner motors for they don't over heat like others.
If you like the 1920 may try you a 1930 and see. I had one of them and it was nice.

I would go with the 1940 at least with a Quark 125.

sjcrss 08.09.2006 09:45 PM

ok...this is what I'm going to be building or allready have.....
UE rcer x suspension F/R
UE 8 spyder diffs
strobe slipper
and I plan on putting it on the following
gmaxx aluminum chassis
quark controller
so which motor & what turn....
squee you say 1940 but which turn?

squeeforever 08.09.2006 09:49 PM

I would personally go for a 1950 but a 1940 on a light truck. If your truck is gonna be ~13lb. like it is now, I would get the 1950. Also, turn depends on the battery setup. If you have to buy new ones, get LiPo. I wouldn't run less than 5S.

sjcrss 08.09.2006 09:53 PM

I plan on making it as light as possible and will eventually go to lipo.......so with the suspension and the gmaxx chassis ( aluminum and a single speed, it should be really light.... so which would be better 1930, 1940. or 1950....and which turn would you guys suggest

Well I got a hold of mike, and he's gonna test my micro 2095 for me...hopefully it works fine...... I should know by next week hopefully......then I can make my decision then

Please check this thread sjcrss..

I think the 1950 7t would do nicely. If you going light weight the 1940 is lighter plus you have some 4mm pinions. I think a 1940 7t would be nice on like 4s lipo. IF you go 1930 I try a 8t.

thanks serum, that was helpfull...
