http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/s...d.php?t=224735

second motor looks like a feigao 380c.........

crazyjr 08.27.2006 11:28 AM

I posted in the brushless section about the 1/18 motor he has, must have been a lot of crow he ate to make more brushless

Interesting...I would certainly like Mike to get some of these to put in the store. Major thing I like about them is the fact that there ROAR legal. The only other ones that are ROAR legal are the ones that Quark has. Which I do believe is nothing but a Hacker...I do kinda find it odd though that the top one looks like a Novak without sensors...

jhautz 08.27.2006 12:38 PM

Kinda weird though... The ''Monster Truck Motor'' is a listed as a 6 cell motor. Who runs 6 cells in a Monster truck?

cemetery gates 08.27.2006 12:49 PM

Maybe they meant monster truck motor for like a stampede……..

jhautz 08.27.2006 01:01 PM

your right... its probably intended for more like a 1/10 truck size vehicle.

Still cool to see brushles get more and more mainstream. More options means the prices come down and the quality gets better. Not that the quality isn't good already.

im actually thinking about stuffing one of these into my 2wd buggy when winter season rolls around. i might mate it up with the quark125b i have laying around. hence the fact i said stuffing it in. lol that should prove to be an interesting thing trying to get that controller into that car.

Either Trinity is blowing smoke or ROAR is changing rules. That 1/10 Trinity motor is just a Feigao 380C it appears. And the info from Trinity says that it weighs less than a typical 540 motor. I don't believe that ROAR has or ever will approve that motor.

The cool part is that if a biggy like Trinity can get these approved then there is some hope for getting others approved, like Mambas, Neu, etc etc

The "monster" motor looks interesting... and looks more like the other "ROAR approved" bl motors.

Ernie and Trinity can put more BS spin than anyone in Washington... love that line about "we waited for everyone else to offer brushless, blah blah blah... so we can show you how much better ours is"...

HA HA HA what a load of crap Trinity is.....

squeeforever 08.27.2006 10:19 PM

Glassdoctor, I think that it is ROAR legal. The main rules that none of the BL motors don't meet is that the name isn't stamped into the endbell, the don't have solder tabs, and there not rebuildable. Some are, but I don't think the Feigao's would be considered rebuildable because of the pressed on endbell.

glassdoctor 08.27.2006 10:40 PM

So.... Lehner Basic for example would be legal with "lehner" stamped on it? Actually the rebuildable part is funny cause with BL you can't exactly change anything.

I guess I haven't read into the rulebook. It appears that CC should tweak their motors so they are roar approved.

One of the guys at my track was interested in the MM but didn't like the no-solder-tabs design. He said something like "what if I damage the wires or want to re-do them?"

squeeforever 08.27.2006 10:45 PM

No, the Lehners wouldn't be Roar legal because they don't have solder tabs. The reason they have those stupid rules is because Novak helped them write the rules...Notice how Novak meets all of those rules..

Mikey 08.27.2006 10:56 PM

trinity two. those two companies practicly write the rule book using money. trinity is a load of bs but i cant complian about their products. most of them aside from their vehicles are pretty solid.

squeeforever 08.27.2006 10:58 PM

Yea, I love Trinity stuff, but the way they conduct business is bull$hit....Maybe Mike should give them some lessons....And maybe a few other companies that shall remain unnamed *coughschulzecough*...

Mikey 08.27.2006 11:22 PM

they're only in NJ not too bad of a ride. for me anyway. we can loot the place while we're at it lol j/k. we can only hope that they make a li-po so lo-po's become legal too lol.

squeeforever 08.27.2006 11:23 PM

I'm surprised they haven't had a LiPo's suck add aswell...
