anybody seen this?

im sure some of you have seen this before and even though it is nitro it is the coolest rc i have ever seen. http://www.thorbob.com/projects__work_in_progress.htm it technically is brushless i mean when is the last time you have seen a nitro engine with brushes :027:

coolhandcountry 09.01.2006 01:51 PM

That is alot of work in a rc. It turned out killer. I like to see it in action.

Mike.L 09.01.2006 02:24 PM

ya, its nice but i wouldn't want to own it its a pain in the A$$ just to fix something

BrianG 09.01.2006 02:33 PM

Not to mention that you just can't go to your LHS to pick up a replacment part...

Otherwise, it IS a really nice truck. If it were mine, I think it would just be a shelf queen.

coolhandcountry 09.01.2006 02:48 PM

Well it depends on what part you break. Some parts you could pick up.
Others you would have to remake.

Mikey 09.01.2006 04:16 PM

that thing looks pretty rugged so i definitely would drive the heck out of it. i maean i wouldn't do stupid stuff with it but it would be no show queen.

MAN!!! had forgotten all about thorbob's 2 x 4 stroke engine'd project...thanks for the link and the reminder dude!!!

its great to see that its all in one piece now....

i would run it if it were mine....very carefully...but i would run it!

it sure would scare the crap out of all the nitro heads at the local track!!!:026: whahahahaha....

i wouldn't even bother with the shell and run it as is!! like a car from one of the madmax movies!!!!

i was reading onn rcca and he isn't going to put a body on it. that thing sounds soooo cool. he had a short vid of it with the wheels off the ground breaking it in.

JOHNNYMAXXIMA 09.03.2006 03:22 AM

That guy is my hero!
Hey Mikey, do you have a link to that vid?

Serum 09.03.2006 03:55 AM

Yeah Mikey, i remember he was running in those engines.. What a screaming noise it was.. I lost this project out of sight for a year or so, thanks for reminding me as well.

Mikey 09.03.2006 04:49 PM

here this is the vid http://thorbob.theshreves.com/thump/doublethumptest.wmv nothing else sounds like it.

coolhandcountry 09.03.2006 07:47 PM

I was hoping for one that he was running it on the ground. See some action.

JOHNNYMAXXIMA 09.03.2006 11:54 PM

Yah, he's got to have more video of that thing somewhere.

glassdoctor 09.04.2006 01:26 AM
