So Who's Going to Get a Nomadio Sensor...

Now that it's ultra cheap?

At $269 you really can't go wrong IMO. I haven't purchased a new radio system for a couple of years now, and it seems like my MX-3 is biting the dust (decreased range, verified with two receivers and two crystal sets). My money will either go to this or to a battery setup for my 1/8 buggy, but it's looking like it'll go to this new radio because it's so cheap!

ME! As soon as I get my LiPo's, a balancer, and a LVC, I'm gonna sell my M8 and get one.

i would love one, but i also just got lipo! so, as soon as i figure out how to use my lipo, then i can learn how to drive with them, then i can afford a radio after i fix my wrecked truck!!!!

That is a good deal. I wonder if mike can get them for that.

glassdoctor 09.03.2006 10:06 PM

Is that really a full system for $269? It's $459 at Tower... that's a killer deal.

I would love to have real time temps displayed on my radio.

This deal is cheaper than getting the full eagle tree setup...

squeeforever 09.03.2006 10:07 PM

Yea, its the full setup. No sensors or anything though. Only TX/RX.

I got mine - I havent run it yet - but it looks promising - RC-Monster Mike ran his the day of his race - and you all know how that turned out for him. ( hindsight - i should of ran mine that day too - :005: )

Can the nomadio run on the spektrum rx? I have them and don't want to go thru the hassle of getting all new rx again.

squeeforever 09.04.2006 12:10 PM

I don't think so...I think you have to use the trancievers.

neweuser 09.04.2006 12:35 PM

That's a great deal on the Nomadio!!! Now if he can offer deals on the VBS!!!!LOL, that would be great!

With the latest beta software from Nomadio, you can use Spektrum receivers, but you need to plug your radio into a computer to make the change to DSM (Nomadio calls it "Da Slow Mode" because Horizon/Spektrum trademarked the 'DSM' acronym). You also need to plug in again when you want to switch back to "Nomadio" mode.
As I mentioned, it's only with their beta software and it's a non-supported configuration, so you're on your own when using it, but several people have posted on Nomadio's forum saying it works just fine.

squeeforever 09.04.2006 02:57 PM

That sucks...At least you can use them though...

coolhandcountry 09.04.2006 03:07 PM

For those who have the nomadio. Do you think it is worth the money?
How do you like them?

squeeforever 09.04.2006 03:14 PM

Larry said he likes his..

coolhandcountry 09.04.2006 05:53 PM

Well I figure out problem with mine. I stay with the spektrum for now. It is still a good deal though.
