Rear Support for Neu 1515???
 

I just got my neu 1515 2.5d yesterday. I was really surprised at how much bigger it was than the XL's. This thing looks huge. I'm gonna have to devise a rear motor support for it. Anyone done this yet for a G2R Revo and GMaxx Motor Mount. I don't think the BK mounts will fit this thing. Its way to fat.

Anyone have any sugestions for a quick solution?

You could make something like I designed for my flamemaxx chassis.

Final part's should come in next week. Then I got a order with Mike which is not priority, tho I need those part's to get the truck running. It's going so slow cause I was focusing on a new mountainbike I wanted to buy, but didn't go thru. So I guess I could get it finnished sooner. Yep let's do that, tired of looking at a half finnished chassis on my desk.

very nice.... But its a little more eloborate than I am looking for. I was hoping to find something a little more off the rack that could be modified slightly to work. Maybee like a modified boat motor mount or something.

I am wondering if I might need something for the motor I just purchased a neu 15151yf let me know jhautz just incase maybe you can find a one by one aluminum angle and dremel a stand support

as long as you never want to change the pinion size, a rear mount should be easy to cobble together. the problem comes in making it adjustable for correct meshing.

Maybe I should just run it easy (no jumps) without a rear mount untill I figure out my gearing and then make a stationary support.

What's the fun in that. You could make this brace idea very simple. You don't need that big arc over the motor which connect's to the chassis. It could be half the size with 2 hole's which connect's to the brace/ ring on the motor.

I only did it in this design so the arc would match up to the one's above the diff. My first idea was to let those carbon stick's cover the motor too, but that won't work. Another plus about the arc is that it act's like a motor roll-cage.

If you really want such a simple yet effective motor brace, I could make you one. Laser cut aluminium.
