Revo Adjustable Wheelbase Rear Arms?
Are they any good? Strong Like the stockers? Im just looking for some quick and easy help keeping the front wheels down. But, I don't want them if they are going to break easier than the stockers. The stock arms are pretty tough.
|
I run them. There just as strong as the stockers, but I would get the new Tekno ones...They are even stronger and the bottom will work on either side, unlike the Traxxas ones...There is also a company called Qoncepts that makes some extended wheelbase knuckles. Those would also be a nice addition to the Frog Legs.
|
Are the Tekno heavier? I am also working on a diet for my Revo. Its kind of a pig right now.
|
They might be slightly heavier, but I wouldn't worry about that at all. Here are a few things that will enhance performance as well as lighten it: Traxxas 7075 Aluminum Pushrods, Traxxas 7075 Aluminum Turnbuckles, JD Carbon hing pins, Traxxas Teflon Coated Shock bodies, Traxxas Titanium Nitride coated shock shafts, Traxxas aluminum pivot balls, and Traxxas aluminum hollow balls.

It says there is no binding issues...Not sure though. They are kinda expensive though...

How much more can you lengthen' the WB?
|
With the setback arms, it's 19mm at the farthest hole.

Squee; the weightsavers you mentioned; (i searched and searched for them too, to put on my future to be revo) the aluminum pillowballs are a no-go, they break too easy the cf hingepins are nice, but they get ruined by the aluminum plates that are on the bulks, and the aluminum turn-buckles don't hold up too good either. that's what i read about them, not from my own experience, but it kept me from buying them. |
I think if you search enough, you can find someone saying something negative about just about any part. I feel like every part as an upside and a downside. Sometmes the downside is just cost... and even the expensive parts wear out sooner or later. I have no personal experience any of these either, so I'm not saying you are wrong.
Although, The aluminum pillow balls just seem like a bad idea to me. SQUEEEEEEE!!!!! Isn't that the sound my pig (revo) should be making??? :027: |

i thought it's 12.7mm extention for the rear hubs.If you ran the setback arms together with these it's nearly like a 4-link trailing arm,i bet it would add a ton of on power steering.would look wierd though.might stress the bulks and hingepins too much though but i think the sliders could probably handle the angle because of a universal joint at each end. i'm thinking of trying the hubs on my maxx which uses 3.3 stuff, have to run a single shock on the inside and remove the other lower shock mount from the arm for the slider to clear though. |
