LIPO's

Eventually I will be upgrading to LIPOS and I think I want 2 batterys 3s each.

I have a 1950/6 hi amp and a bk 20150 controller. What does everyone think?

i think that you should run 4s or 5s at the max with that motor, not 6s. i could be wrong though.

btw which lipos?:032:

6s on that motor should scream. It may push it a little. You going to need some good amp ratings.

Thread moved to General Electric.

These are the batteries I was thinking about getting.

2 of them.

MaxAmps Lipoly 8000mah 3S2P 11.1V Pack.

Then put them in series and run 22.2 Volts.

By the way, trying to hit the 50's or 060's mph.

squeeforever 09.16.2006 11:54 PM

I would run 5S. 6S will be pushing it...

Serum 09.17.2006 03:51 AM

6S is too hot on this motor.
What lipo's are you going to use? there are many different lipo's available.

coolhandcountry 09.17.2006 08:41 AM

My opinion. The lehner is better built and the 1950 6t is close to the 7xl.
6s May push the motor a little. With a good heat sink I think it will take it. I
I would not try it with 7xl though.

aqwut 09.17.2006 09:08 AM

it's KV rating is 2090... with the amp drop and everything the motor will run at around 45000 rpm with 6s? it should be fine, IMO..

Serum 09.17.2006 12:52 PM

No, it's rather hot.

that 45000 is at load.

squeeforever 09.17.2006 01:03 PM

I came up with over 50K rpm's with no drop in voltage. Thats given MAX voltage possible...

Serum 09.17.2006 01:16 PM

Too hot.. :p

squeeforever 09.17.2006 01:41 PM

Exactly...
