Finally It's Done!!!
 

Here it is guys. After many months of waiting for parts in the mail and figuring out just how I wanted it, I have completed my G2R.

Thanks to Mike for being patient and helping me via internet or phone when I had questions.

This Truck Uses the GorillaMaxx Carbon Fiber Chassis Kit, Single Speed Tranny, G-Maxx Motor Mount, T-Bonz CVD's, 9XL Feigao/Nemesis Motor (Blue Can), 120 Amp BK 20120 Speed Control, RPM Arms, RPM Steering Nuckles, Traxxas Red Tubes, Ofna Derlin Spur Gear, Aluminum Shock Posts, and a bunch of other stuff you can see in pics...

Mike will look an awful lot like yours!

The push rods are not hollow-shafts bytheway, the red turning buckles are, but the push rods are solid.

Two words of advice;

Get another set of the gmaxx straps and use two of them to hold down 1 battery.

Aluminum diff housings will make your diffs last longer, the plastic ones will cause the diffs to fail, due to their flex.

How much does it weight, without the batteries?

Looks very nice. I dig all the blue stuff... the "all aluminum" look gets old to me.

Lose the 40's and get some real racing rubber ( Bowtie/Crime Fighter MT's) on there and it's even better. :)

Thanks Serum, I definatly need to figure out how to secure the batteries a little better. I will most likely get another set of the G-Maxx Straps. On my first run, one of the battery packs flew out of the truck after I flipped it and did a cartwheel!

I am considering the aluminum diff housings but at the moment, my funds don't allow me to. (Truck cost quite a bit to get running).

I was also considering going lipo. I may in the future. I was surprised at how much power and punch these 8-cell NiMh packs gave me. I already bent a rear axle after I did one of my cartwheels. I am not used to this kind of power yet :027:

I will figure out the weight soon. The rolling chassis alone was very light. I am probablly gonna go with the standard size bow-tie tires to reduce weight. I think it will handle better also.

I bought mine from Mike last year.. It was from my G-Maxx E-Maxx that I never got around to completing. Check on Ebay, I've seen them on there occasionally

I wanted to ask how well the wires work from the controller the way you have them? It looks like you took the second ones and direct soldered toward the top by the controller, then just soldered the one pos and one neg ends to the deans???
i wired my 12020 with both wires to the deans and wanted to know which work best if there is a difference?

The MT tires are lighter and work better imo on the track too... and the lipos would really cut some weight. :027:

There seems to be no problems at all having it wired this way. I didn't want to have too many wires all over the place. Mike was the one who suggested to do it this way. It takes time to get it perfect but it's worth it.

Be sure to get the new MTR version of the Bowties. Nice truck, by the way!
