Tyres

Just wondering what most peoples racing tyres are?

I found TTR ST-1 tyres to be a little too flexible and gripless, and the standard maxx ones had too much side bite.

I just bought some Hong Nor (Jammin) Predator tyres on HPI Gun Metal Q6's.

My track is grass and some dirt corners car is a Maxx

What do most here run and what car and surface do you run on?

Trying to get the edge against the competition :018: .

I have only run prolines... the MT series are very good imo. They have bowties, crime fighters, and holeshots. Sounds like you might want the firmer compounds and/or firm foams. M2 is a good do-it-all rubber.

There are other brands that look good too but I've never had any others...

I agree with glass doctor. I heard the crimes hook up better than the bowties. No personal experience with that myself, but know a few guys that have both and choose the crimes over the bowtie types.

Yeah, I think the crimes are better on most tracks. Some run bowties cause they last longer.

Never knew that. I have 40series crimes on my truck. I always assumed the bowties had a softer rubber compound for some reason??? Interesting!

CF's dont do as well as the brick pin - style tyres on my track, as it's grass and dirt.

The foams in these Predators feel really good! Nice and firm. Can't wait to give them a go.

I dont run 40 series on my track as a sidewall works well there.

Anyone else care to let us know what they use? Mike? Mods? :)

Crime fighters are brick pinned....or as some say squared not bowtied. I agree though, 40series aren't that great on grass type ground, and they slide a lot. The regular MT's should be good though, more weight per sqaure inch=more traction.

Heres a brilliant idea....Run the Badlands MT's....

Those badlands tires are cool...
