mtronics pro and mambamax 5700 ?

Hi !

Does mtroniks pro esc work wll with a mambamax 5700kv motor ?
I have a mambamax esc right now but i'd like to run during the winter season to :027: and the mambamax esc are not water prof as the mtronik pro are .

What are the specifications of that controller?

speedy 10.01.2006 10:20 AM

it has a 100amp limit an 6-8nimh cells or 2-4s lipo

Yeah, that should do the trick. As long as the 100 A is continues.

Actually, The MM controller is fairly water resistant. Shawn Palmer (CC Spokesman), mentioned something about water resistants in a thread @rczone page 1 post 21. http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/s...d.php?t=223182

Here is what he said:
"The circuitry is silicone conformal coated just like the Mamba 25's. Legally we can't say "waterproof", but the Mamba 25 was video tested by a forum user a while back while fully submerged without any problems whatsoever. The same process is done to the Max. From my own testing and driving (poorly) I've never had an ESC have issues with puddles or snow. Receivers however are a different story.... we've soaked, splashed and submerged more than our share and most of them never "come back to life". The Max and 25 ESC's in those same vehicles were always A-OK."

I wouldn't chance the MM in really wet conditions, theres a difference between water resistance and waterproof...

The Mtroniks will handle the 5700 fine, and as you are aware is completely sealed and waterproof. Mtroniks normally sell it with a "real" 540 size 5900kv motor, so the 5700 will be less work. If it was more adjustable, USB programmable and they used better quality fets it would be a better controller than the Mamba. Still a very good controller though, I've had one for 16 months now still works fine. Been through plenty of crap weather, snow etc.
