EXT chassis questions
Im thinking of building a gorilla BL with the extended chassis... my question are, Can I use a aftermarket skids with this chassis? Thinking of either Hardcore racing or Great assembly skids..... Ive never seen a gorilla chassis in person but from teh picture of the chassis extender, it looks like the rear skid is built in and there is no overhang...... do you guys use it as is? if not what kind of skids can be used for the rear? thanks

I had the same answer a few weeks back, and here is the answer;
The rear skid is the same as the front skid, ONLY the rear isn't bent for the caster of the front wheels. (if you know what i mean?) So just a straightened frontskid should/would work on the rear. Titanium would be bad to bend back, aluminum would be the way. But there is a skid included in the kit, only the GM skids don't have got a bumper function. (not that aluminum is any kind of bumper, it should be cald a bender or a blunder once you hit something) And you'r better of using RPM wear plates, to keep the aluminum nice and shiney.. ;) |
