Some pic of my bl savage

Here's a few pics of my savy. It has some alum on it and is currently running a 18.97 and 9XL on 14 3300 cells. I love it. Now to find a diff body for it and I'll be set. Lipo's wil be the next purchase for this beast though.

Nice ride, i am not a sucker for purple, but other than that..

How heavy is it? i find the stock parts pretty tough. i had relative much different hopups for my savage, but i always keep getting back to stock. (skids, arms, shocks etc)

shaunsmaxx 10.04.2006 01:03 PM

It's a tank. lol I haven't weighed it yet. I have all the stock stuff still but the alum parts came with my last savy trade. I had to use them. It's also a truckzilla chassis. If I leave it the way it is I'm gonna strip the purple as it's not my color of choice either. Even for as heavy as it is it still does over 30 and wheelies like mad.
I'm in the process of hunting down a revo to trade for so I can go bl in that after seeing Dafni's ride. They look sweet and it sounds like they handle as good as they look. I gotta go see the rest of the bl revo's posted here now as well.

Nice truck!

shaunsmaxx 10.05.2006 10:47 AM

Thanks VW and Serum(forgot to tell you in my last post). I'm a little excited as I think I have the wife talked into letting me get my lipo's. She's a tad upset with the amount of money and time I've been spending on my rc's lately. I told this is how I relax and it keeps me sane( well sometimes kinda insane). lol

Sounds cool!!
now replace the aluminum with stock plastic arms, and sell the aluminum parts, it will make her happy too.

shaunsmaxx 10.05.2006 12:36 PM

That would prob sway her the rest of the way. I'll have to see what kind of interest I can get for the alum stuff.

Anyone wanna buy some alum. savage arms? HAHAHA

Serum 10.05.2006 01:00 PM

LOL! you learn quick..

dabid 10.06.2006 02:20 AM

Why the roll cage? Everything is tucked in between the side rails, no engine sticking up to protect really........you could cut at least a pound by dropping it, if you want.

shaunsmaxx 11.02.2006 11:21 AM

The main reason for the cage is I run it alot without the body and the cage and arms were just sitting collecting dust. lol I'll prob lose like 2 lbs when i take the cage an alum arms off and go back to plastic ones.

Well I got rid of the alum. parts and went back to stock. Man what a diff in how it feels. I didn't get my lipo's as I bought an os .18tm for my new to me revo. I'm waiting for my 9918 to come back from being repaired and will convert the revo when I get it.

Yeah, dropping aluminum arms is a nice weight reduction.

shaunsmaxx 12.06.2006 02:03 PM

Here's how it looks now. Sold off the alum and went stock. Now to find a place to put the last 6 cells.

Perhaps 2 stock U profiles of aluminum offer help.

Looks ready to rumble to me.

Any change you are going to put the batteries more to the front? (i'm personally not a fan of wheelies)
