I am doing this conversion for viruss, perhaps anyone can do something with it,

I like the fact that the motor points forward and the batteries sitting on one side, standing up. (to overcome the problem of the relative small chassis) they can hold up 4-5S lipo and, and it's made from U profile aluminum with nylon braces.

the motormount is made from L profile, and the motor sits low enough, so the lower angle is also a brace that supports the motor.

the setup viruss wil use is a 1930 with a quark 80 and 4S flightpowers.

If the weather is getting better, i will get some decent pics of it.

Me like! :D I LOVE the VP braces. You might want to put the front brace in the rear. The VP rear brace is designed for it to go from the little notch to the center diff. I would also put the Lightning buggy aluminum front brace instead of the rod up front. Its ALOT stronger and looks alot better.

Yeah, i have seen that aluminum brace. Something for the future owner to think about. It can do without imo.

I wondered where that little hole was made for.. This makes sense..

So I'm curious . . . you build these setups for people? How does that work, and what do you usually charge? I'm assuming they provide you with the rolling chassis and then tell you their batts, motor, etc. and you work from there?

In this case, i layed my hands on the roller cheap, I was planning on selling trucks, but this was an offer i couldn't let go.. I asked Viruss if he was interested in it, which he was.

I normally don't do this, i have got more than enough time to spent to keep/get my own vehicles running.

I see. You should consider offering some of the components for sale like the battery trays and motor mounts. That was one of the hardest things for me to get acomplished because I don't have access to the tools or materials. That's the case with many people. Any chance you might do something like that?

My (metal)tools are very limited (not for long though), i only use a drill, dremel, file, sandpaper and an electric jigsaw.

Nothing fancy, really, it's a dream to drive with though.. it's one cool as heck must have RC.. nimble, agile and very, very controlable..

RChippie deserves credits for this, it was his mugen. I just re-designed the motormount/speedoholder a bit..

If you know my bash-savage, you can see that the 9920 that sits in it, is a 1:1 drop in for the mugen.. (just have to remove two nuts, and the 9920/ubec are ready to swap)

Perfect! Thanks! As you might imagine, I really enjoy seeing other people's projects in the photos. Plus, I'm still debating my next project. Not sure if I'll go with a truggy or a buggy. Right now I have the Lightning Stadium 10 that I've converted to brushless and it's great, but I think I want to "expand" my horizons. :027:

Get a truggy.. that's my advice. Either that, or a revo.
