all the mod 1 pinions are either aluminum or steel.........

i'll let the savage guys chime in on what tooth pinion you need, but 16-18 sounds about right...........

I don't think any of the pinions are aluminum...Most are gonna be steel, but some are carbon steel...

How many cells are you using?

squeeforever 10.08.2006 11:12 PM

Going out on a limb here, but I'm gonna say 14....

BADBOY2 10.09.2006 01:26 AM

well for now ill be using 12cells only ib3800s..till i figure out how to operate lipos or whenever they come out of a lipo batt that is easy to work on..

another question..do the feigao 8xl motors comes with screws?ive read somewhere here that if the screw touches the inside of the motor it will burn something..is that right?

cemetery gates 10.09.2006 08:48 AM

yes that is right, you could burn a coil. the motor does not come with screws. i used 6mm long screws and they do not touch the coils.

BADBOY2 10.09.2006 02:33 PM

will it cause the burning of an esc or just the motor?how would u even know if theyre touchin the coil?
