Which "XL" do I pick?
 

Hey Guys, Just about the make my last order for the e-revo.

I see Mike has 2 "XL' Motors

"Feigao/Nemesis/Wanderer "XL" Brushless Motor"

and

"Feigao 540C XL Brushless Motors"

Which one am I wanting guys? And whats the difference?


Also why I'm at it what pinion should I get? (E-maxx trany)

Well...Pinion depends on the turn of motor and the cell count, but as for motors, I would choose the Feigao C XL since it has a screwed on endbell and the endbell won't pop off like the Wanderers. There the same otherwise.

And as you can see the "C" version has the built-in heatsink, which helps with cooling. IMO the C version is better, since it will end up cheaper after not needing to buy a clamp/heatsink to cool it and keep it together.

Well It will be the 8xl with 14 cells.

Right now I have stock 66 spur, but I think I have a strobe slidder laying around somewhere.

I was told 18/66 if mod1 14/51 sound good?

Sounds like a good starting point. Try that and see how temps do.
