What is the deal with RC Monster's online store?
 
It seems like EVERYTHING I want to order is always, perpetually, sold out.

Everything.

From motors to ESCs to pinions. Nothing ever is in stock. A couple things I can understand, but something like pinions? The entire world's population of 8XL motors? Everyone started using 9920's as potato chips? Half the items I click on the "slideshow" showcase thing towards the bottom of the page gets me item no longer stocked or something like that.

What gives?!?! Don't you people know that I need to order some brushless stuff and you were suppose to save me some things! :027:

Please bear with Mike and his business. I know the out-of-stock thing sucks, but mostly it's due to his suppliers. It all depends on how the suppliers can keep up with popular demand. I know for a fact that Mike constantly has money tied up with his suppliers and is constantly waiting for stuff.
Some things are clearly easier to get as others, but as for stuff like BK controllers, there really is only one source for our dear Mike to get the stuff. And when the manufacturers can't keep up with the demand, it's hardly Mikes fault.

Another point to consider is how fast the "fashion" in our hobby changes. Once the Hackers were the shit, and then the big 9L craze, then everybody had to have a 1950, now it's Neu... and so on. Same goes for Controllers, Hopups... you name it. And obviously nobody wants to invest too much money in stuff which later on may become a shelf-keeper. See?

What you can do is sign up for the product notifications, or, if you have an extensiv list, write all together and send it to Mike by email. He will gladly put your box together as stuff turns up on his door.

You know, if we would live in a perfect world... but we don't.
Just have some patience. I can tell you that Mike does more than it's good for him to keep all of us customers happy. And I give him big props for this.

I was just busting chops. Someone does, however, need to go through and remove all the things that are no longer carried. I was all set to get a power supply, and it was no longer in stock.

I'd rather buy from Mike than someone else.

If I may interject, when I spoke to Mike and if he was out of stock he gave me an alternative solution that was either just as good or even better:027:

The 8XL is probably my fault. I believe I bought his last 540C 8XL motor.

Mike is a one man show and I personally know he does everything he can for his clients, despite the enormous workload he has. You can go elsewhere and get mass produced crap anytime of the day. But we're dealing with high-end low volume specialty goods here, for the most part. And I'll take the goods and the personal support Mike gives any day over a mass market computer run store, even if I must wait a bit.
