Proline Takes The Lead
 

Does any body have the Proline Bowtie tire set up with the 40 Series Velocity Wheel w/ 23mm HD Hex and the 23mm HD Hex set up. How good are they. Can you tell a big difference in the tires compared to stock on the road and on the track. are the better handling and faster. What is the point of the bigger HD hex set up. Is it just for looking cool and strength or is there more to the pricey hex set up. I will be doing mostly bashing but every saturday i will be racing at my local track (it is an onroad course)do you recommend this setup or do you recommed something ese.

Well...I would NEVER recommend the Poorline adapters...Definately get the Dace adapters. They are WELL worth it. As for rims and tires, its up to you, but I would definately get 23mm. They won't warp, or anything like a standard 14mm rim might. 23mm is the way to go....

I am having no trobles with the proline 23mm's. The bowties have great traction

Soon I'll be moving to 17mm hexes for the Revo that will be here soon, and will do the same to a Savage (also coming soon). The main reason is that I already have a set of Maxx Mashers on Imex offset 17mm wheels, but also because they are a lot stronger than 14mm. I also don't want to spend a fortune on Proline and other brands when we carry store brand dish wheels with a 17mm hex that are 40 series (50% off with employee discount!).

My opinion is that you should go with whatever is readily available and is what most of the other racers use.
