traxxas sliders with g2r single speed?

hi guys... i'm going to build a g2r but i want to use the traxxas slider centre shafts... i read in a post that it can be done if you use the single speed tranny but there were no details... can any body shed some light on this... is it possible and if so which sliders do i need... i know the kit comes with dogbones but i like the idea of the sliders

With the g2r come the driveshafts. you better use those, otherwise you have got some hacking to do..

This can be done pretty easily.
I believe you will need to use the emaxx yokes but with some 3mm washers for spacers and the revo u joints you can use the Revo sliders. You will probably need to use two sets of rear sliders and cut them to the appropriate length.
I use revo sliders exclusively because they are strong enough for brushless, adjustable, and easy to work with.

Actually, my G2R uses the tmaxx 3.3 tranny a modified front revo slider for my rear shaft and the revo half shaft for my front drive shaft :027:
The half shaft barely fits up front but works great!

I raced with this setup last weekend and it works great.

Starscream, got any recent pictures of your G2R?

I' dont right now but I can get some.
I've recently added the Sensor to my racing arsenal
I've got heat sensors on my esc and motor as well as a voltage sensor :018:
The Sensor sure looks funny but I raced with it last weekend and it feels great.

Sorry for highjackin the thread, I'll start another one with an update on the tmaxx3.3 G2R Highbrid

Thats correct.
You'll also need spacers to go in between each e-clip (2mm washers prefereable but 3mm should work).

the revo yokes work as well actually and they are beefier so i went with those... the fron shaft poses a problem though... they are too short so i had to use to males and cut the yoke off the female half shaft and slide it over both males to make a long drive shaft... i actually bonded one of the males to the female and left the other male to slide in and out...
