lmt motors
i want the lmt 1950 7 turn motor will this motor run hot with 16 cells? i was going off of rc car actions e revo and they had a 6 with a heat sink but runtime was too short but i want speed. will this motor do good with a heatsink?

16 cells is perfect for the 1950 / 7
More than 16 cells is pushing it but 16 is just right. I know someone selling one. PM me if you're interested. |
I run a 1950/7 in my maxx on 6s lipo with no heat sink and don't have any heat problems.

what would you guys think on gearing. i was thinking 52 tooth spur and some where within 15,16,17.18.19.20.21.22.23.24.25? i will get most of them but what would be a good start as i dont want all them yet?

My gearing is 21/66, that would be like 16.5/52. I would get the 15-17 and maybe even the 18.

I have a 1950/8 on an Emaxx with 72T mod1 pinion single gmaxx conversion and UE diffs ... lipo 5S (like 18 cells): I usually bash with a 16-17 T pinion, but I used it also with a 19. I tried a 24 but with some ESC thermal problem (Quark monster) :P Just my experience. Ciao, Daniele |
5s(18.5v) is more like 15 cells(18v). 6s(22.2v) is like 18 cells(21.6v).

alright cool i will be ordering some pinions, are there any probs with the e maxx pinion gears? there the same pictch as the monster gt

My spur is a 52T mod 1 the pinions are 16-17-19-24 T sorry guys. Yes the truck is pretty fast. I can't say I do not have instruments to measure the speed. I can say my mini-t with a mamba 6800 and lipo 3s 14/60 geared is just a little bit faster. Ciao, Daniele |
Danverz is using flightpower lipo's 5S of them is more like 18 cells on 100A load.
