What Center Diff works w/ plastic spurs?

What ceter diff works with the plastic kyosho spur gears that are sold in the rcmonster store? http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...YOIF148&cat=40

I have a center diff from the hyper8 and when I put the platic spur on it it binds up and wont turn. If I back the screws out a turn or so then it works. I have all of the shims out so I cant make it any looser. It is really close to working, but not quite. Any sugestions?

Anyone know of a center diff that for sure works with the plastic Kyosho spurs?

Well, that's not good at all! I also have the Hyper8 and was going to get that Kyosho spur. Now I'm not too sure. Hopefully someone has an answer...

I have a Hyper 8 center diff running the Kyosho 46t plastic spur. I forget what I did exactly, but I think I did something with the shims on the smaller gears in the diff.
There's another thread around here with the same topic.

I have already taken out all of the small shims behind the small gears also. Still Binds. I didn't really want to take those out because the small shims behind the small gears are the only thing keeping the gears from rubbing directly on the plastic housing. I did already just to try it and see if it made a diference.

Anyway... Still binding.

I can't seem to turn up the other thread through the search tool. Can anyone point me to it?

I put an extra gasket on the cup when I get too much bind after changing the spur. Just an idea, works for me.

It might be the small o-ring that seals the diff cup shaft on the spur gear. The groove for the o-ring might not be as deep on the plastic spur as it is on the metal one. Also check diameter of that same o-ring groove.

Thanks Guys. I got it figured out now. The extra gasket did the trick. Works perfectly now. Good call Dafni.:027:
