Spur Gear >>> Need Opinions!

A select few of you know that I am in the final stages of engineering & prototyping a new slipper assembly for the E-maxx and G-Maxx Single Speed with possible retrofit to the T-maxx. Product will likely be available in November and will be available thru www.rcbros.com and I hope thru RC-Monster...we'll have to talk Mike :027: .

I will likely have custom spur gears manufactured to complete the kit and I would like to know what size you all would be interested in.

50t and 60t are essentially "off the shelf" pieces and the 50t would be pretty close to the popular Ofna 51t/Strobe assembly effecting final ratio by less than .10

Please express your thoughts opinions!

Thanks!

I think increments of around 5 should be fine, but I think smaller than a 50 would be good. I needed a 20 tooth pinion for my E-Revo and that is the biggest available. I woulda been screwed if I needed a bigger pinion or a smaller spur...

A 48t would be the ideal size I think.

I'm in the same boat as Squee. Having just bought UE diffs, ive hit the 20T pinion mark, and hope I never need a bigger one!

Stainless Steel & Aluminum Mod1 pinions are available up to 24t and acetal/brass versions to 28t

I would liketo offer 50t, 55t, 60t, 65t best case scenario. Worst case 50t and 60t I guess.

Yeah, smaller spurs might be a good idea.

Have you got pics of a proto you are willing to share?

No pics to share yet. I will once it's in the final testing stage and/or ready to release for sale.

40T is available but my concern is center to center distance between the pinion andthe spur. I think that's too tight.

What raios are you guys running? 51/20? With that a 40t spur with a 16t pinion would get you there if there is roomfor it to all fit.

Yea, I was running 20/51 in my E-Revo with stock ratio diffs...
