Brushless Lst2 Problems
Have a few problems with my brushless set-up. I have an MGM 120 controller, fiegao 8xl, ubec, 4s 8000mah lipo pack.
Problem #1 If throttle epa is at 100% when I nail it off the line it will cut out until I let off throttle Problem #2 After running for a few minutes the mgm will have a dim light on all the time and will do nothing, after 30 minutes of being diconnected it will come back to life. any suggestions????? Thanks |
Maybe the MGM is over heating?
|
The temps are 115 to 120 degrees
|
Thats not the problem then...What about reprogramming it. Have you tried that?
|
yes a few times, i have the timing automatic, is that the right setting.
also the acceleration 0-100% is set for .65 seconds |
You might want to set the timing differently. Maybe slow down the acceleration as well...
|
i justed tried to program the controller it went through the program sequence light just goes to a dim setting and will do nothing. it did this once before and i let it set for the night and in the morning it was working again. i have a strange controller!!!
|
You might want to contact Mike about it. First though, have you tried different batteries, or whatnot?
|
no I haven't tried diff batteries, this is my only lipo pack!!!
I might have to talk to mike! |
Let's try the lipo's without a cut-off first. My guess is that the batteries are dropping bellow their 3V per cell..

Are you using a UBEC or receiver pack? If so, did you disable the controller's BEC? Also, what settings did you actually program into the controller? Perhaps we can discuss some of these and figure out how to get you going. |
i checked voltage on my lipo pack 15.12 vdc, now there is that light on steady even if I shut the switch off on the esc. I turn it back on it makes the normal beep and will just turn the motor maybe a 1/8 of a turn and nothing, when I return the throttle to nuetral it beeps like I am just turning it on. (light is steady on all thru this sequence). It was running pretty good before this at 90% epa but now it will do nothing!!!!!!
