HPI launched new diffs for the savage.

And the cool thing is that with this 11-12 dollar part, you get the shims, special blocks and aluminum cups.

well... all i can say is: finally! its impressive that it took them three years to realise in series what they sure have seen in many forums for such a long time.

Are they a direct replacement for the HotBodies diffs? I guess so.

I need 3 ;)

Yes, they are a 1:1 replacement for the HB, they will give you slightly more room to shim. (they are .15mm thinner)
