programming prob
 

i tried to program but my revo goes in reverse. I dont have enough trim to alter it after i programed it in normal. So i swapped it to reverse and then tried to program it afterwards. I never heard the 2nd beep. Im running a m8 with spek system. I fidgeted with the the throttle so the NEUTRAL is the about same when i swap to reverse throttle, and altered anything else with trim Didnt work out so great since the stupid fucnction of a spektrum is to leave the car in the idle position. So whenever i shut off the radio, the car is runnign crazy fast cuz the nuetral position was 1/8th of throttle foward. How do i program it so its reverse?!??! ps, i lost a jumper, do any of u know where i can get another one?

I found jumper and somehow it steers straight now...BUT when i shut off trans, the revo still goes full throttle foward....This isnt good if my batts shut off or something!

what controller are we talking about...and you never turn off the transmitter before you disconnect the batts in your vehicle.....your just asking for trouble...

Yes, Never turn off the radio before the reciever. He's talking jumpers so i would think BK/Lehner

yup, he probably is...but it would help if we knew exactly what he was using.....

Sounds like some kind of failsafe is keeping it on the throttle...

I'm pretty sure he has a 9920....

Assuming the ESC is OK; how does the failsafe on the Spektrum module get set? On the full system, you set it when binding. Could it be set to some throttle amount when the ESC is shut off? To test, put the steering into the throttle channel on the Rx and then shut off the transmitter. If the steering goes one way, then it's the failsafe on the Rx.

BTW: I think a harddrive jumper will fit.

Grr, i just found out i have to REBIND the rx to spekrum tx so the failsafe wont go wacko. THis means i'll have to do it everytime i swap teh receiver into another car. how annoying!

You shouldn't have to go through the binding every time (at least I would hope not). I don't know what receiver module you have, but if it's the same as the full Spektrum system, the binding settings are stored in non-volitaile memory. It's the receiver that stores the failsafe settings, not the transmitter.

I would dissable reverse if you got a failsafe, if you lose signal and it goes to brake it might go into reverse
