Tire/Rim Combo?
Ill be running stock motors on 14 cells. Ill be driving offroad but sometimes Ill hit the street.
A.40 mashers/40 mambos B.40 mashers/40 velocity 6 C.Maxx masher/maxx velocity 6 1/2" offset D.Badlands MT/maxx velocity 6 1/2" offset E.Badlands MT/maxx 23mm HD hex velocity 1/2" offset I really dont want to loose torqe. I like C,D, and E, cause I want the offset. Also what color on E? My E has the stock red body. |
I love those badlands tires, and never liked the 40's.... my 2 cents....
|
Could you recomend some better maxx size rims?
|
I would go for the Badlands with some 23mm Velocity rims. I would choose the 0 offset if you plan on going with 3.3 axles/knuckles. I would also go with yeller. I don't really like white since it looks like $h!t when it gets dirty or scratched.

Why 0 offset?
|
because it would be VERY wide with the 1/2" offset and the 3.3 knuckles. Being to wide hurts the steering.

Squee, what is an ideal length to width ratio? For a maxx or revo? |
I like my Revo, for instance, with the Walbash rims and setback arms, which is 19mm longer than a stock 2.5. It would be even better with a 3.3 or G2R chassis. The Velocity rims make it just plain to wide. For me at least. I guess it is a matter of preferance, but I know for a fact that when I put the Velocity (40 series 23mm) rims on my Revo, it made it almost as wide as it was long with the standard wheelbase. With the 3.3 stuff, a Maxx will have the same width as a stock Revo, so I would choose Walbash rims if 40 series, or 0 offset standard size rims. As for a ratio, not really sure. ^^ is just a few examples of width with difference rims and tires. I can try and get a ratio of my Revo and BPP LSP.
