16 cells in a 9L and 9918...

..I won't do it but has anyone tried it and what is the result? Just wondering...also while I'm here..is it also safe to run this set up on high mah LIPO's..what kind of heat will it produce, considering low end gearing..

Thanks

The 9l/warrior can take the occasional 16 cell beating, so long as you don't over gear it. The power output is up there on that cell count. As for the high Mah LiPos, that again will depend on a few things. For long runtimes, you may want a heat sink and a fan to keep things as cool as possible, and keep the gearing conservative.

Me and my friend hooked up 18 GP3300's to the 9L/warroir in his 1/8. We clocked that 9lb Ofna 9.5 at 56MPH. We only ran it for like 1 min to do the speed runs and the batteries/ESC were burning hot, the motor was cool though. He usually runs 12cells and it goes high 30's. Its a sweet setup for an 1/8.
